ABOUT ME
I am Prasun Dhang, currently a postdoc at JILA, CU Boulder. Earlier I was at IUCAA and at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IASTU), Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. I did my PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. By training, I am a theoretical astrophysicist, who use numerical tools to investigate physics governing different phenomena in astrophysical objects.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
EDUCATION
Accretion Physics
Accretion onto compact objects such as the black hole, neutron star and white dwarf. I am specifically interested in studying angular momentum transport and magnetic field generation in the turbulent accretion disc around a black hole.
